About this policy

Mentions ("Mentions," "we," "us," or "our") is an inclusive advertising and marketing agency based at 3319 S Monaco Pkwy, Suite B, Denver, Colorado 80222. This policy explains what information we collect through meetmentions.com, our forms, booking tools, and communications, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using our website or contacting us, you agree to the practices described here. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or submit your information.

Effective date: October 22, 2025.

Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly and some information collected automatically when you use our site.

Information you provide

• Contact details such as your name, email address, phone number, business name, and website

• Details you share in forms, consultation requests, booking tools, surveys, or messages to us

• Billing information when you become a client (payments are processed by third-party payment processors; we don't store full card numbers)

• Anything you send us by email, text message, social media, or during calls and meetings

Information collected automatically

• Device and browser details, IP address, and approximate location

• Pages you visit, links you click, referring sites, and time spent on the site

• Information gathered through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies (see below)

• Whether you open or click our emails

How we use information

We use your information to:

• Respond to inquiries and schedule consultations

• Provide, manage, and bill for our services

• Send updates, resources, and marketing you've signed up for

• Understand how people use our site so we can improve it

• Measure and improve our own advertising

• Protect our site, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information for money. Some advertising pixels may count as "targeted advertising" under state privacy laws, and you can opt out of that as described below.

Cookies, pixels, and tracking

We and our partners use cookies, pixels, and similar tools to run the site, understand traffic, and show you relevant ads on other platforms. These may include analytics and advertising tools from providers such as Google and Meta.

You can control tracking by:

• Blocking or deleting cookies in your browser settings

• Using Google's ad settings and Meta's ad preferences to limit personalized ads

• Using industry opt-out tools such as optout.aboutads.info

• Turning on Global Privacy Control in a supported browser, which we honor as an opt-out of targeted advertising where required by law

Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work.

Text messages and email

Text messages. If you give us your phone number and agree to receive texts, we may send messages about appointments, inquiries, and services. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of buying anything from us.

Mobile numbers and text messaging opt-in information are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We may share this information only with service providers that help us send messages, such as our messaging platform and carriers.

Email. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link at the bottom of any message. We may still send you emails related to an active client relationship, like invoices or project updates.

How we share information

We share information only as needed to run our business:

• Service providers who help us operate, such as our website and CRM platform, email and SMS tools, scheduling, payment processing, analytics, and cloud storage. They may use your information only to provide services to us.

• Advertising and analytics partners through cookies and pixels, as described above.

• Legal and safety reasons, when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights and safety of Mentions, our clients, or others.

• Business transfers, if Mentions is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. You'll be notified of any change in how your information is handled.

• With your permission, such as when you ask us to feature your testimonial.

Client data and health information

Mentions works with healthcare practices, mental health providers, and other mission-driven organizations. When we handle data on a client's behalf, such as leads from a campaign we run for them, we process it under our agreement with that client and according to their instructions. That client's own privacy policy governs how they use your information.

Please don't send us medical records, diagnoses, or other health details through our website or forms. We don't need that information to market a practice, and our site isn't designed to receive it. Where a client relationship requires handling protected health information, we'll put the appropriate agreement, such as a Business Associate Agreement, in place first.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, including keeping business, tax, and legal records. When we no longer need it, we delete or de-identify it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including Colorado, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you

• Correct inaccurate information

• Delete your information

• Get a copy of your information in a portable format

• Opt out of targeted advertising, sale of personal data, or certain profiling

• Appeal our decision if we decline your request

To make a request, email us at [email protected]. We'll verify your identity before responding and reply within the time the law requires. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision with "Appeal" in the subject line. If you're unhappy with the outcome of an appeal, you can contact the Colorado Attorney General.

Children's privacy

Our site and services are meant for businesses and adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Links to other sites

Our site may link to websites we don't control. Their privacy practices are their own, so please review their policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top. Significant changes will be posted on our site.
